In consideration of your ‘Christmas eMAIL’ to me entreating me to correspond with you directly instead of a Council staff member from the QVMAG I’m writing today in regard to an opportunity to locate a Tamar Writer-In-Residence at the QVMAG possibly towards the middle of 2016.
The group that I’m working with currently has a candidate in mind and its imagined that there would be benefits for the region and the institution.
- What would the cost to the QVMAG be? .... Nil that is unless the QVMAG were to commission work outside the residency.
- What would be expected of the QVMAG? ... Access to the collections and possibly access to some research cum office cum interview space/s
- What involvement with QVMAG programming? ... Nil unless QVMAG initiated it and the ‘resident’ agreed.
- What administrative role would the QVMAG play? ... Nil as the project would be auspiced by another body as of now.
- What living accommodation might be required? ... Nil for the current candidate
- What are the benefits to the QVMAG? .... To be determined by the QVMAG in consultation with the resident.
An expression of interest by week’s end would be useful and appreciated in the preparation of funding application/s
